Abstract

Pati is one regency that has the population with labor problems that is unemployment, and in 2013 Pati is a regency / city in Central Java with the fourth rank of unemployment rate. This research aims to make some program alternatives and to determine which alternative program that can be prioritized by the Government of Pati Regency in reducing the unemployment rate. The research uses the primary and secondary data. The analytical method used is Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP) and it is processed using the expert choice version 9.0. The result of research indicates that the efforts to reduce the unemployment rate in Pati Regency can be prioritized on the criterion: (1) empowering the people, and followed by (2) the capital from the investors, and (3) the empowerment of economic business. And the priority scale from the entire program alternatives of unemployment problem solving is a program to improve the rural community empowerment. The advice that can be given from this research is that the Government of Pati Regency should continuously conduct the job training and coaching to improve the quality and skills of the labors and also should increase the job opportunities, and also should improve and perform the continuous improvement program of increasing the community empowerment so that the rural communities may have good quality to be able to compete with other labors.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the flow of distribution chain of Arabica coffee, the actors of distribution chain of Arabica coffee, and the profit margin enjoyed by each actor of distribution chain of Arabica coffee in Semarang Regency. A method used in this research is the mixed method. The location of research is taken in two Districts that have a high production of Arabica coffee those are Getasan District and Banyubiru District. The samples taken in this research consist of 44 coffee farmers, 5 collectors of coffee fruit, 2 wholesalers of coffee fruit, and 3 sellers of Arabica coffee. The data analysis method uses two approaches those are the interactive qualitative using the analysis of the supply chain system and the quantitative descriptive using the analysis of the marketing margin. Based on the research result from the three subject matters, there are three marketing patterns of Arabica coffee those are: (1) The distribution pattern of farming that is existing grows naturally and conforms to the development, needs and capabilities of the actors; the actors in this pattern are the farmers, collectors, wholesalers, retailers, and consumers; (2) The margin that occurs in a pattern growing naturally causes the price difference that is quite large in pattern I of margin about Rp 28,000.00, in pattern II about Rp 20,000.00, and in pattern III about Rp 10,000.00, and the biggest profit is in the collectors so the selling price of the farmers is lower than the market price.

Abstract

SMEs grow in a cluster in a certain geographical area. The entrepreneurs grow and thrive through the business cluster. Central Java Province has a lot of business clusters in improving the regional economy, one of which is batik industry cluster. Pati Regency is one of regencies / city in Central Java that has the lowest turnover. Batik industy cluster in Pati develops quite well, which can be seen from the increasing number of batik industry incorporated in the cluster. This research examines the strategy of developing the batik industry cluster in Pati Regency. The purpose of this research is to determine the proper strategy for developing the batik industry clusters in Pati. The method of research is quantitative. The analysis tool of this research is the Strengths, Weakness, Opportunity, Threats (SWOT) analysis. The result of SWOT analysis in this research shows that the proper strategy for developing the batik industry cluster in Pati is optimizing the management of batik business cluster in Bakaran Village; the local government provides information of the facility of business capital loans; the utilization of labors from Bakaran Village while improving the quality of labors by training, and marketing the Bakaran batik to the broader markets while maintaining the quality of batik. Advice that can be given from this research is that the parties who have a role in batik industry cluster development in Bakaran Village, Pati Regency, such as the Local Government.

Abstract

The aims of this research were to find out the effects of poverty on cigarette consumption in Central Java in 2013 and to recognize the effects of tax cigarette on cigarette consumption in Central Java in 2013. The type of the data used was secondary data. The analysis method used was the regression of Ordinary Least Square (OLS) with the cross section data of 2013 in 35 Districts of Central Java Province.The research results show that when the Poverty Line increases, it increases cigarette consumption. The variable on Poverty Line has effect on cigarette consumption in Central Java in 2013. The variable of cigarette tax has positive insignificant value. The variables of poverty and cigarette tax are able to explain the level of cigarette consumption of 0.1263%, and the remaining variables are explained by the other variables. F- statistic is 2,31, F-table is 1,37, and t-table is 2.034. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is a significant association between cigarette consumption and poverty in Central Java in 2013. When cigarette consumption rose, it increased the poverty in Central Java in 2013. The association between cigarette consumption and cigarette tax in Central Java in 2013 was not significant but had positive value. It means that the tax policy in Central Java is not able to reduce cigarette consumption in Central Java in 2013. Although there has been a cigarette tax, the cigarette consumption continues to increase.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis seberapa besar pengaruh pengeluaran pemerintah daerah sektor pendidikan, pengeluaran pemerintah daerah sektor kesehatan, rasio ketergantungan penduduk dan pendapatan perkapita terhadap pembangunan manusia yang diukur dengan IPM. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 35 Kabupaten/Kota di Provinsi Jawa Tengah, menggunakan data sekunder dari Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Jawa Tengah dan Biro Keuangan Sekretaris Daerah Provinsi Jawa Tengah dalam periode 2009 sampai 2013. Variabel penelitian ini indeks pembangunan manusia, pengeluran pemerintah daerah sektor pendidikan, pengeluaran pemerintah daerah sektor kesehatan, rasio ketergantungan penduduk, dan pendapatan perkapita. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis regresi data panel model efek tetap (FEM) dengan metode Generalized Least Square (GLS). Hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa pengeluaran pemerintah daerah sektor pendidikan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap IPM, pengeluaran pemerintah daerah sektor kesehatan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap IPM, rasio ketergantungan penduduk berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap IPM, sementara pendapatan perkapita tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap IPM. This research has purpose to analyze how much influence of the local government expenditure in educational sector, local government expenditure in health sector, dependency ratio, and per capita income of a human development measured by HDI. the population of this research consists of 35 regionals in Central Java and region bureau money secretary of Central Java province among 2009 and 2013 period. the variables used in this research are HDI, local government expenditure in educational sector, local government expenditure in health sector, dependency ratio, and per capita income. in this research, quantitative and regression analysis of Fixed Effect Model is used as well as Generalized Least Square method (GLS). The results of this research are the outcome of regional government in educational and health sector influence significance and positively to the HDI, dependency ratio significance and negatively influence to the HDI, while per capita income does not influence significance to the HDI.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendapatan, kebutuhan keluarga di daerah asal dan pengeluaran konsumsi TKI terhadap remitansi baik secara simultan maupun parsial. Populasi dalam penelitian ini meliputi seluruh tenaga kerja yang pernah dan akan berangkat menjadi TKI di kabupaten Cilacap sebanyak 50 orang. Adapun sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Purpossive Sampling dimana semua anggota populasi digunakan sebagai sampel. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendapatan (X1), kebutuhan keluarga (X2), konsumsi pribadi (X3) dan remitansi (Y). Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini melalui wawancara terstruktur dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda dengan SPSS rilis 17. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pendapatan dan kebutuhan keluarga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap remitansi, sedangkan konsumsi pribadi berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap remitansi. Simpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu secara parsial pendapatan dan kebutuhan keluarga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap remitansi. Ketika pendapatan dan kebutuhan keluarga meningkat maka remitansi akan meningkat begitu pula sebaliknya. Sedangkan konsumsi  pribadi memiliki pengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap remitansi, yang berarti ketika konsumsi pribadi mengalami kenaikan maka remitansi mengalami penurunan. Sedangkan secara simultan model regresi dapat digunakan untuk memprediksi remitansi. Variabel pendapatan berperan sebagai variabel paling dominan mempengaruhi remitansi. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of income, family needs in the area of origin and consumption expenditure of remittances migrant workers against either simultaneously or partially. The population in this study are the entire workforce ever and will go into migrant workers in Cilacap regency with the number of sample are 50 people. The sample used in this study is the purpossive sampling where all members of the population used as sample. Variables used in this research are Income (X1), the family needs (X2), private consumption (X3) and remittances (Y). Data collection methods used in this study through interviews using a structured questionnaire. The data analysis used is linear regression analysis with SPSS release 17. The results showed that Income and Family Needs had a positive and significant effect against to remittances , while private consumption had significantly negative influence Against to remittances. This study concludes that partially income and family needs had positive and significant impact on remittances. When income and family needs increases, remittances will increase and vice versa. While private consumption has a significant negative effect on remittances, which means when the personal consumption increases then remittances decreased. While simultaneously obtained the regression model can be used to predict remittances. Variable income serves as the most dominant variable affecting to remittances.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi klasifikasi daerah cepat maju dan cepat tumbuh, menganalisis pengaruh aglomerasi industri, dana perimbangan, IPM, dan klasifikasi daerah cepat maju dan cepat tumbuh terhadap disparitas pembangunan wilayah kabupaten/ kota di Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif Tipologi Klassen dan analisis regresi data panel dengan metode Generalized Least Square (GLS). Hasil identifikasi kabupaten/ kota yang konsisten berada di klasifikasi daerah cepat maju dan cepat tumbuh dalam kurun waktu tahun 2009-2013, yaitu Kabupaten Cilacap, Kota Magelang, Kota Surakarta, dan Kota Semarang. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa aglomerasi industri berpengaruh positif dan signifikan, sedangkan dana perimbangan, IPM, dan klasifikasi daerah cepat dan cepat tumbuh berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap disparitas pembangunan wilayah kabupaten/ kota di Provinsi Jawa Tengah. This study aims to identify the classification of the area fast forward and fast-growing, analyze the effect of industrial agglomeration, the balance funds, HDI, and area classification fast forward and fast-growing against the disparity of development districts/ cities in Central Java province. This research using descriptive analysis Typology Klassen and panel data regression analysis with the method of Generalized Least Square (GLS). The results of the identification of districts/ cities that are in the area classification consistently fast forward and fast-growing in the period 2009-2013, namely Kabupaten Cilacap, Kota Magelang, Kota Surakarta and Kota Semarang. The results of this study indicate that the industrial agglomeration effect on positive and significant, while the balance funds, HDI, and the classification of fast and fast-growing regions a significant negative effect on the development disparity districts/ cities in Central Java province.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjutuan menganalisis pengaruh pendapatan konsumen, harga tiket kereta api, persepsi harga tiket pesawat, kualitas layanan, jenis kereta api, dan adanya tiket promo pesawat terhadap permintaan kereta api eksekutif Argo Muria dan Argo Sindoro Rute Semarang-Jakarta. Populasi penelitian ini adalah rata-rata penumpang Argo Muria dan Argo Sindoro per har, sedangkan jumlah sampel 160 orang diambil menggunakan rumus slovin dan teknik simple random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis menggunakan analisis regresi Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan konsumen, harga tiket kereta api Argo Muria dan Argo Sindoro serta adanya tiket promo pesawat berpengaruh terhadap jumlah permintaan kereta api eksekutif Argo Muria dan Argo Sindoro. Using Ordinary Least Square (OLS) this paper aims to analyze the effect of: railway passenger’s income, railway fares, perception of air travel fares, railway service performance, types of trains and air promo travel tickets to the demand of executive class railway route Semarang-Jakarta. The population of this research are passenger of Argo Muria and Argo Sindoro an average each day, amount of sample are 160 people was taken by slovin formula and simple random sampling. The method of accumulating data used questionnaire, interview and documentation. The result shows that the railway passenger’s income have positive income to executive railway demand. An increase executive railway fares will result in decrease executive railway demand. The air promo travel tickets have positive effect to difference of executive class railway demand caused passenger’s decision to move in air plane or unturned by railway.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan dan mengkaji penerapan sistem remunerasi serta membandingkan kinerja tenaga pengajar dua tahun sebelum dan sesudah remunerasi di Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Semarang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Proportional Stratified Random Sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 48 orang responden yang merupakan dosen Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Semarang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dengan alat analisis uji distribusi frekuensi dan uji beda berpasangan (Paired Sample T-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan sistem remunerasi di Universitas Negeri Semarang berbasis pada merit pay dan komponen yang digunakan meliputi Pay For Position, Pay For Performance, dan Pay For People. Hasil lain menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kinerja dosen, yaitu peningkatan kinerja dosen pada saat dua tahun sebelum dan sesudah remunerasi. Perbedaan kinerja ini didasarkan pada rata-rata masing-masing indikator kinerja. The purpose of this study to describe and assess the implementation of the remuneration system and compares the performance of the faculty two years before and after the remuneration at the Faculty of Economics, Semarang State University. Mechanical sampling using proportional stratified random sampling with a sample of 48 respondents who are lecturer of Faculty of Economics, Semarang State University. The method used is quantitative descriptive analysis by means of test analysis and Paired sample T-test. The results research shows the application of the remuneration system in Semarang State University based on merit pay and componenents used include pay for position, pay for performance, and pay for people. Other results showed there are differences in faculty performance, which is based on the performance imorivement on average each performance indicator.

Abstract

Pajak penerangan jalan berkontribusi besar bagi Kota Semarang. Setiap tahunnya penerimaan pajak penerangan jalan di Kota Semarang selalu melebihi target yang telah ditetapkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh jumlah pelanggan PLN, jumlah hotel, jumlah industri terhadap penerimaan pajak penerangan jalan. Objek penelitian ini adalah penerimaan pajak penerangan jalan di Kota Semarang periode  1985-2014. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Analisis data menggunakan analisis Regresi Linier Berganda dengan metode Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa jumlah pelanggan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penerimaan pajak penerangan jalan, jumlah hotel berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penerimaan pajak penerangan jalan, jumlah industri berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penerimaan pajak penerangan jalan. Street lighting contribute greatly to the tax for the city of Semarang. Each year a tax receipt street lighting in the city of Semarang have always exceeded the targets that have been set. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of the number of customers PLN, the number of hotels, the amount of the tax receipt against industry street lighting. The object of this study is the tax revenue street lighting in the city of Semarang in the period 1985-2014. This research uses a quantitative approach to design research. Data analysis using Multiple Linear regression analysis with the method of Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the number of influential customers significantly to tax revenues, the number of hotel street lighting effect significantly to tax revenues, the number of street lighting industrys influential tax revenues significantly to street lighting.
